In the current financial turmoil the majority of people are looking to cut costs and save some cash. In recent years, due to the internet revolution, there have been some massive savings to be had when renewing our car insurance, home and contents insurance and breakdown cover. In this article I will be explaining about the ways in which you can ensure you make these savings.
For the purposes of this article I will be writing about people’s annual car insurance renewal – mainly because I have just had to renew my own auto insurance.
I am not an insurance specialist in fact I am just a regular guy from the UK who is involved in web promotion, offering people cheap calls and stuttering therapy.
Around two weeks I go I received my annual car renewal notice with the new premium. The premium itself was quite fair and not too much money in reality however I still wanted to be able to pay even less than what I had been quoted – we are in a recession after all.
I decided to use a car insurance comparison website to see the prices that they could offer me. The cheapest price was in fact twenty pounds lower than what I had been quoted.
I then spoke to my current insurer and told them about the lower price that I had found. I enquired as to whether they could match or even beat this quote.
Why did I state a £40 reduction when in fact I only had managed to obtain a quote £20 lower? Well because I knew that they would not offer me the full reduction. They did come back with a lower premium that was in fact £30 off their original renewal price. What a bargain and what a saving!
I hope these tips help you in the same way that they have worked for me, please let me know how you get on.
